60' Rainbow Pride Flag

During the pandemic, Pride month just hasn’t been the same. Amidst the noted lack of glitter and parades, the community was searching for safe ways to celebrate and show their support. For Save On Foods at Woodgrove Mall in Nanaimo, that show of support came in the form of a 60’ rainbow flag across the entire storefront. They reached out in search of local queer artists, and they found us! The project added a temporary rainbow boost to the vestibule and showered the inner vestibule in colourful light. In 2021, they invited us back to create a longer-life piece on a higher window. We reached this window with a scissor lift, thanks to our With our Mobile Elevated Work Platform certification and safety gear.
