In an act of hate, Nanaimo’s only 2SLGBTQ+ public mural was targeted and destroyed with black paint last year. We believe that the best way to counter those who try to tear our beautiful rainbow family down is by creating BIGGER, BRIGHTER displays of our PRIDE! In 2021 we asked for your help to fundraise for the cost of a new permanent Pride movement mural, and the community responded with support, kindness, and active alliship. We are happy to announce that we have found a home for this 2SLGBTQ+ public art. So we’d love your help to design Nanaimo’s new Pride mural!
